A 12-year-old boy has reportedly left his beloved puppy outside an animal shelter care center because of his own abusive father.
Reports confirmed how a letter was found situated next to the young canine and that’s where the boy identified himself as Andres.
He explained his utter heartbreak and devastation regarding the matter, adding how he was simply left with no choice but to leave his dog here, fearing for his life.
“I want to protect my puppy from any form of violence and as well as abuse,” the young boy went on to confess, keeping his own father in mind.
Many people who came across the letter either personally or through social media explained how much emotion and courage that young man had to drop off his dog. Clearly, dogs are man’s best friend, and this little kind and thoughtful gesture brought tears to so many people’s eyes.
Keeping in mind the reality of animal abuse, the boy explained how he had no other choice but to make such a bold and heartbreaking decision, but he agreed that it was in his pup’s best interest.
A recent report by CNN went on to reveal how the young pit bull was left outside the shelter in Mexico’s Michoacan. They also explained how the boy broke down to tears when he made this decision, which came after his father opted to sell the pup for some quick bucks.
The emotionally penned-down letter was soon shared through various social media platforms including Facebook, going viral in an instant.
“I am Andres and I am 12. My mom and I have left my little dog here in your hands. We are hiding him from my father because he has made plans about selling him,” the letter went on to read.
Andres concluded how his dad kicked and mistreated the pup on several occasions and now that was just too much for him to bear.
