A woman from Texas was recently found guilty of killing a young mother and then kidnapping her baby while faking her own pregnancy too.
The 34-year-old Texan resident was recently identified as Yesenia Sesmas who reportedly when to the great extent of faking her own pregnancy so people would not question the kidnapped baby’s existence.
The horrifying story came into the limelight when police officers from Wichita arrested the 34-year-old woman after they found gruesome clues about the haunting incident.point 455 |
Yesenia was accused by authorities of carrying out Laura Nogueda’s murder and then fleeing away with her baby, who is named Sophia Gonzales.point 124 | 1
Later, cops revealed more shocking findings from the investigation, where it was revealed how the woman also faked her own pregnancy after she suffered from a miscarriage. The fake stunt lasted for several months as the woman finalized her master plan for the horrendous crime.
Moreover, some local media outlets went as far as mentioning how she even received plenty of gifts from her friends and loved ones, after carrying out a baby shower too. Nobody could ever believe her intentions and how she was not expecting in the first place.
To carry out the crime, the 34-year-old traveled all the way to Wichita, just so she could return back to Dallas, Texas with the kidnapped baby, confirmed authorities.
After facing her trial, the jury found her guilty of the heinous act, giving her a sentence comprising of a lifetime in prison for 50 years.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s public defender boldly spoke about how she never initially intended to kill the young mother. Instead, she took a gun with her, just so she could threaten her.
“She had no idea that the weapon would fire, and when it did, she was in absolute shock,” he revealed.
In the same way, he also spoke about how the suspect woke up the next morning as if nothing had really happened. She just wished to lead a normal life and raise a beautiful baby by her side.
