Ara Ara is a common Japenese expression. On most occasions, it’s roughly translated as “oh my my,” “Oh my dear,” “well oh well,” or just simply “my, my.”

On multiple occasions, Ara Ara is used. It is found at a number of places such as artist Cuvie’s shotacon manga, titled  Mother Son Love.

At the same time, Japanese hit and anime series Aria uses it too. Here, the lead character pronounces the catchy phrase several times.

And just in case that wasn’t enough, it is also used in a lighthearted Japanese novel. The title is called Date a Live with an anime adaptation. Here, character Kurumi Tokisake uses the line on many occasions.
