Two-year-old twins tragically died after they fell from the tenth floor of an apartment building while their mother was recording a livestream on social media.
Beatrice-Erica Petrice and Moise Cristian Petrice had just celebrated their second birthday one month before the tragic incident.
According to reports, they were at home with their mother Andreea Violeta Petrice and her friend, who was watching over the twins.
The devastating incident occurred while the mother was streaming live on Facebook.
During the livestream, sounds of emergency services could be heard before someone knocked hard and fast on the apartment door. That’s when Andreea stopped recording.
But when the mother and her friend Alina spoke on the Romanian chat show Access District, they gave two different versions of events.
Andreea claimed she was resting in another room while Alina watched over the twins. She then said that when she went to check on her babies, they were already missing and that the usually clean room was a complete mess with nappies scattered all over the floor and furniture upturned.
She also accused her friend Alina of having taken illegal substances and of being involved in her children’s death.
News outlet Spy News reported that the 2-year-old girl, Beatrice, had a health problem that affected her right foot. It has been speculated that she would not have been able to climb on the bed or on the table without assistance.
Alina was taken to a hospital where it was revealed that she hadn’t taken any illegal substances at the time of the incident, Spy News reported.
The children’s mother shared a video on TikTok showing her placing flowers on her children’s graves. She has been receiving psychiatric care after the devastating incident.
