4-Year-Old Twin Brothers Were Among The Victims That Burned To Death After A Bus Slammed Into A Barrier And Caught Fire


Four-year-old twins were among the victims who lost their lives in a bus inferno after the vehicle caught fire.

On early Tuesday morning, 45 people burned to death while an additional seven were severely injured after a Macedonian bus carrying tourists crashed into a barrier dividing highway lanes and caught fire.

According to the reports, the accident took place in Bulgaria while the passengers, of whom most were reportedly Albanians, were on the way back from their road trip to Turkey.

It has now been revealed that two young twin brothers were among the victims who lost their lives in the blaze.

4-year-old Luan and Alban Ahmeti were bright little angels who died in the bus fire alongside their mother and father, Avni and Jihan Ahmeti.

Following the shocking accident, Ismail Qemali elementary school students gathered outside their school in Skopje to pay a tribute to five of their comrades who lost their lives on the unfortunate trip.

“Ergin was my friend. He was a very good boy. Very nice. I am so sorry that they died,” an 11-year-old boy told REUTERS.

Speaking of the tragic incident, Bulgarian Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov revealed how people, including at least 12 children, “turned to charcoal” after the bus caught fire.

“The picture is horrifying, the people who were on the bus are turned to charcoal. It is impossible to say how many they were. There were four buses that traveled together, and it is possible that passengers changed buses during the stops,” he said.

Meanwhile, North Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev paid his condolences to the families of the killed passengers as he called the crash a “huge tragedy.”
