Heartbreaking reports coming in from Philadelphia have revealed how a pregnant woman was gunned down after returning from her own baby shower.
According to local media reports, the woman who was 7 months pregnant had just attended the event when the incident took place during the later hours of Saturday.
Cops claim that the 32-year-old woman, who is yet to be identified, received multiple bullets to her head and her belly at about 8:30 pm. And that’s when she was believed to be unloading presents from her vehicle so she could carry them into her home. But little did she know that she would be killed.
Officers investigating the case spoke about how the incident took place on Palmetto Street which is located in the Lawncrest section of the city, as reported by ABC6 recently.
Deputy Police Commissioner Christine Coulter revealed how heartbreaking the entire tragedy turned out to be. “I mean the person who carried out this crime couldn’t have acted more cowardly!”
One officer spoke about how they heard gunshots being fired and that’s when they immediately rushed on over to the scene. The seven-month pregnant woman was rushed to the nearby Einstein Medical Center and that’s where she and her unborn child were pronounced dead, just a few minutes apart from each other.
While investigations into the horrifying and tragic incident continue, media reports claim that there have been no arrests at the moment.point 235 |

Meanwhile, neighbors in the area are complaining about the increasing crime rate in the vicinity, which they are getting really tired of. And that’s why they’re urging officials to crackdown upon those involved soon.
