A 12-year-old girl was recently stabbed to death during a festive Christmas event held at Liverpool.
According to local media reports, the 12-year-old girl made her way to Liverpool’s City Center to witness the joy that Christmas brings during this time of year. She was excited to see the famous ‘Christmas lights turn on’ event that was reportedly scheduled.
As expected, there were other children in attendance too as the program is known to attract people of all age groups, signaling the start of the most wonderful time of the year.
However, the event ended up taking a turn for the worse when a child was reportedly stabbed to her death, after suffering catastrophic injuries as soon as the lights went on.
Meanwhile, Merseyside Police officials went on to reveal how a verbal altercation had taken place before the attack ensued. And for that very reason, four schoolboys that were aged between 13 and 15 have also been arrested on the suspicion of murder.
The victim was identified as young Ava White who was very eager and excited to see the lights turn up, explained her grief-stricken loved ones. But little did the child that this would actually lead to her tragic and untimely death.
Friends and family members that were present near to her are still in absolute shock and disbelief over the entire incident. “We just can’t come to terms with what just happened,” they cried.
As investigations into the tragic case continue, the police are asking witnesses present at the event to please come forward and record their side of the story.
“We urge anyone and everyone who has been a witness of this horrifying incident to please come forward as we need your support on the most urgent basis,” they explained.
