“The fact that he was even here, and that he was so perfect and he was taken away from me like this, I just feel so numb.

“I don’t know what to do with myself right now.”

The grieving mother, who is separated from Foster, said that their dog had previously bitten her other son.

Foster said he left the children alone on Tuesday night to go to work when the tragic incident happened.

Surveillance video shows the moment one of the children ran outside to ask people for help.

Officers rushed to the scene and can be seen on footage carrying Ryan’s body.

By the time they arrived, the toddler was ‘bleeding heavily’ from bite wounds to his shoulder and neck.

Ryan was rushed to Maimonides Hospital where he passed away. Officials said that the rottweiler was taken away by Animal Care and Control.

Hyre said that her two older children were traumatized by the incident, especially her eldest who was bitten by the same dog.

“My child literally has bite marks from that dog and the marks are still there,” Hyre said. “He was bit on the leg by the same dog.”

Foster has been charged with criminally negligent homicide, acting in a manner injurious to a child, and manslaughter.

“I’m just puzzled as to how he can let this happen,” Hyre expressed. “He could’ve said anything, but he went to work like it was nothing. I don’t understand why he didn’t call anybody or go late to work.”
