“Every week, my daughter has to do some chores. It’s more or less like a huge list,” she added in the video that was posted on the 6th of February. “If she completes her chores daily, then she receives $7 by the end of the week,” the mum explained.

Farley continued her statement by mentioning how her daughter then has to pay her mum her bills for all the living expenses too.

“Her bills are around a dollar each for water, the internet, rent, and electricity,” Farley boldly stated. To add a little humor to her very unique conversation, the mum also claimed how the entire deal is actually a steal in the long run since you’ll never find living bills around that rate.

In total, the mum revealed how her 7-year-old needs to pay $5 for the bills combined. And that leaves her with $1 which she has the freedom to save or spend.

But the mum did mention how she takes the $5 that her daughter pays and adds it into her savings for later. Therefore, when her daughter turns 18, she can cherish how she made all of that cash on her own terms, realizing the true value of money.

With over 6 million views in no time, plenty of people shared their mixed feelings on the matter. Here, the majority felt it was a little harsh to treat a young girl like that as kids are kids and they don’t need to be worrying about bills at this age.
