A Texas restaurant is receiving plenty of backlash for refusing to pay one of its waitresses a generous tip.
According to media sources, the waitress explains how a very ‘kindhearted’ and generous customer gave her a massive tip. In particular, she explains how the staggering amount comprised of a grand total of $2000. However, she never received that tip.
Thanks to her working place, she complains how the management refuses to give her anything from that tip. At the same time, the restaurant’s management has its own shocking side of the story.

One of the eatery’s waitresses, Emily Bauer explained how a nice customer gave her a gigantic tip. While the tip was unbelievingly large, it’s the behavior of the Texas restaurant that has many people talking.
Today, the young waitress is blasting her workplace employer after failing to release that amount to her.

The mother of two and server by profession is going all out on the incident.
Recently, she spoke to news agencies, explaining how blown away she felt regarding the whole ordeal. That check was huge in amount, compared to the usual that customers tend to pay. Needless to say, she truly felt blown away.
But wait, that’s not all. The sweet gesture didn’t only include the mega check. It came alongside a very sweet and thoughtful message that wishes her a Merry Christmas. How cool is that?
The waitress goes on explaining how she just opened it suddenly and began crying. “I was like oh my God! My kids! I’m going to spend it all on my kids,” she happily exclaimed at that very moment.

Moment of joy turns bittersweet
Unfortunately for the waitress, that joy wasn’t meant to last too long. For her, it’s just appalling how her employers refuse to acknowledge the tip. “I’ve never had the opportunity to splurge on my kids,” she explained in regards to her two sons.
And for that reason, the tip meant ever so much for her.
Baugher says the happiness didn’t last long at all. She made her way home without the mega cash bonus that was supposedly hers.
Meanwhile, the true drama began when the management actually had the guts to turn around and say that there was no tip. According to their policy, the restaurant can only process tips that are equivalent to or lesser than $500. Also, Baugher explained how she was helpless in her argument as the management refused to listen.
Restaurant management brings up a new clause
The management of the Texas restaurant was pretty quick at claiming how they never received any tip in the first place.
On the contrary, the other servers present at the eatery backed her up. They even mentioned how the management could easily process the amount as 4 separate payments. This way, she could easily get her $2000.
To everyone’s surprise, they simply declined to do so. It was truly a baffling moment indeed.
Today, the drama further unfolds as the Texas restaurant makes new harrowing twists. Now, they allege on their Facebook page how the customer’s credit card actually declined the $2000 tip. For this reason, they had no option left. They simply couldn’t hand over the cash to Bauer.
“Visa couldn’t force a $2000 tip upon his card. It was invalid and hence it declined. Therefore, we also can’t charge the same card four times as it’s not possible and considered fraud.
” There was even a picture as proof, showing how the only payment that actually went through was $69, for his meal. Clearly, it’s a mystery that remains unsolved and one incident that the waitress can’t get past.
