The shockingly embarrassing incident went viral after the footage started appearing on social media instantly. In the video, viewers witness the history teacher engaging in the nasty private act, right towards the end of his class.
“It was just an accident”
But how and why did the incident take place is a question on so many people’s minds. For those who may not be aware, Marc works as a teacher’s aide for students with special needs.
As an assistant at Gaithersburg’s Shady Grove Middle School for a number of years now, he justified his actions by claiming that it was nothing more than a mere mistake.
Speaking to Bethesda Magazine, Marc spoke about how he incorrectly assumed that he logged out from his account on Zoom. “I had zero clues that my Zoom was still on. Why would I ever dare to do something like that in the first place?” he added.
Calling his behavior crazy and justifying how he belongs to the teaching profession, Marc kept on repeating the same lines to prove his innocence in the matter.
And in the end, he did conclude by stating how he is only human and not a pervert. “It was solely my bad.”
Officials begin investigation
Right after the incident went viral, the school entered the line of fire. Parents demanded authorities to take action as it was an unacceptable mistake.
Local media outlets did speak about how they launched an investigation into the matter. Currently, there are no charges against the teacher. Moreover, officials went as far as claiming, “it did not rise to the level of an offense or a crime in Maryland.” This statement came from cops hailing from Montgomery County.
Press releases take center stage
On the other hand, another representative spoke about how talking about the staff went against the state’s procedures. For this reason, she refused to comment on the details.
“Our local officers are working hard. They are doing everything they can for the investigation,” she mentioned.
As far as the school’s principal, she also shared a public statement after the teacher caught masturbating issue.
She confirmed how one staff member ‘engaged in inappropriate behavior.’ In the same way, she went on to express how fellow students need to avoid sharing the footage on social media. “They need to refrain themselves from sharing it with other students,” she boldly explained.
