However, the recent uprising of target unions is sending the country into an absolute frenzy. After all, how often do you see a brand as old as this, breaking free from the norms of society?
It’s news that has the world at its feet. And we simply can’t blame them. Target is famous for anti-union behavior. Therefore, it fails to recognize unions that arise elsewhere. However, what happens when the store itself comes up with a new venture on its own: target unions to the rescue.
Here are the latest and bizarre details surrounding a breakthrough discovery that has the nation glued to their screens.

What do you do when you’re not happy with the working conditions in your office space? Well, there are certain ways to go about the situation. Either you make your voice heard and stand up for change or stay quiet and watch more terror unfold.
Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure. It totally depends on where you work and how accustomed people are to the toxic environment at hand.
Recently, a group of Target employees from Brooklyn took out the time to create their own Target Union. Yes, the words that nobody ever hears of often, these people managed to pull off.
But why, is the question on plenty of citizens’ minds.

On the other hand, the brand has never seen or heard of Target Unions in its years of working history. Moreover, it’s another name for a working space that celebrates all things anti-union.
What could possibly be the reason? Well, it might have to do with the fact that the retail house fears letting the world in on some secrets. Moreover, it’s all about employees standing up for their rights.
Did you know, Target has its fair share of secrets. For years, employees stay hush on matters relating to poor pay scales and injustice regarding poor working conditions. How’s that for shocking. Still, no one dares to speak on the matter.
2011- efforts that go in vain
In 2011, we saw the last Target Union Drive. Taking place at one of the brand’s prestigious stores in Valley Stream, New York, it was truly shocking to see the uprising.
However, it didn’t last too long. Soon, a serious campaign came into place, voting down the union, immediately. But today, there’s another breakthrough and hopes are lighting up for obvious reasons.
9 pharmacy workers from Target are moving forward with the union, alongside UFCW. Unfortunately, Target is in the middle of selling out its famed pharmacy business to the CVS. Therefore, they won’t be the same old Target Corp anyway.
Above all, the fact that we’re talking about 9 workers only, against a mega-store at hand- the poor ratio does paint a rather blurry picture of success.
Nevertheless, this new change could pave the way to new beginnings. For instance, who knows, more workers might take the necessary inspiration and come up with their own groups for a change. Till then, we’re just going to have to wait and watch.
