Ohio Sheriff Who Died Hours Apart From Police Chihuahua Partner Will Now Be Buried Together


A retired Ohio sheriff has tragically passed away, only hours apart from his beloved K9 partner.

Sheriff Dan McClelland died on the same day as his dog Midge who he termed to be one of his closest partners. Midge was also reportedly the world’s first police chihuahua partner. Now, reports confirmed how the duo will be buried together.

Reports spoke about how Midge died at home, most likely due to a heart attack. The incident took place just a few hours after the former Ohio sheriff died by losing his battle with cancer at a hospital.

The famous duo was known for their dynamic personality and for this reason, many termed them as inseparable, thanks to the close bond that they shared with one another. From collaring suspects to attending out-of-town police parades and functions too- they did it all.

Midge was always remembered as an absolute rockstar that would delight everyone that she came across. There are exceptions such as the drug dealers who she terrorized on a routine basis.

As the top cop was busy indulging in his important paperwork, she would utilize this time to the fullest by sleeping in her mini-sized bed. This was situated right next to his desk. For this reason, his office soon turned into a very popular spot when it came to field trips for schools.

One member of the sheriff’s department recalls the exact moment he escorted the crime-fighting duo via a golf cart towards the county fair. This was definitely one slow ride as many flocked to see the petit police pup.

Now, the 44-year-old veteran sheriff from Ohio will be buried together with Midge, confirmed family members who called it a new leash regarding the afterlife.
