Running for nearly 21 years, the show managed to impart entertainment of the finest kind. Now, PBS says that the run will soon come to an end with the last episode airing in the year 2022.
The news was recently confirmed by the famous series’ producer Carole Greenwald who claimed that there would be no more new episodes being created for the show. However, she also revealed how the show would continue to be aired on the PBS Kids network, as mentioned by IGN.
“In the winter season of the year 2022, Arthur will debut its 25th and final season. But it will still be found on PBS KIDS for many more years to come,” she added in a public statement to the press.
Both the producer as well as the Kids network say they’re working together to make the last season memorable for loyal fans who simply can’t come to terms with the heartbreaking news. From the lesson learned to the heartwarming characters too, this was definitely one show that many young people held close to their hearts.

In reference to the books, it was first aired in the year 1996 and then renewed for nearly four more seasons in the year 2018.
Now, however, it appears that the time for its exit is near and it’s truly a sad event for fans worldwide who always felt a close sense of attachment with the show and its characters.
