A 50-year-old woman has earned a lot of praise after opening up about her ‘year of fun’ following her divorce.

Kate Harvey, a mother of three from Australia, was married to her ex for 25 years before their separation. Not long before the pandemic, she received a call from a stranger informing her of her husband’s affair.

She then discovered that her cheating husband had signed up to a dating site, where he had been chatting with lots of women and even met up with some of them.

For two years, Kate had been grieving over the breakdown of their relationship until she finally felt ready to start seeing other men.

In an interview with the Australian show Insight, she said she has had up to a dozen s*xual partners since January 2022.

“I stopped counting for a while,” she said.

Describing the year she celebrated her 50th birthday as her ‘year of fun,’ she added: “I went from being someone who had only slept with one man my entire life in January to double digits in December.”

While she has met others in real life, some of her ‘friends with benefits’ came from online dating sites.

“The youngest I’ve slept with was 28 and the oldest was 48,” she revealed. “My sweet spot is 38 to 44.”

The divorcee said she does not have any interest in pursuing a long-term monogamous relationship.

One person commented: “Absolutely brilliant! Single now so she has every right to go out with who she chooses. Having younger partners isn’t exclusive to men.”

Another wrote: “Good for her. She deserves a lot of fun!”

A third added: “She’s single, she can do what she likes. Just like guys do.”
