Ashley Romano is a hairdresser from Hollywood, Florida, who stepped out of her comfort zone and accepted who she was to ensure she enjoys every moment of her precious life to the fullest.

As the young lady explained, she used to find herself feeling demoted because she didn’t feel confident enough to put on a swimwear or wear a bikini in front of other people.

One day, however, she decided to put her fears to rest and simply have fun.

“Can’t help but think about when I was 120lbs lighter and went to a nighttime pool party and wore a cover up because I didn’t think my body looked good enough,” Ashley recalled.

“Also can’t help but think about less than a year ago when I went to a bar and had to leave 15 mins later because all the people and loud music gave me a panic attack.”

Speaking of the event that changed her life for the better, she continued: “At this party there were lots of people, lots of ‘perfect’ bikini bodies and the music was loud AF and I had so much fun.

“I also had to choose not to care what anyone’s opinion of me, my body or my lovely dancing skills were. Every time I got out of the pool, every time I felt like someone was looking at me, and every time I caught myself comparing I want to be okay with my body.”
