A 55-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after she was caught kicking her husband at Charleston International Airport.
According to reports, she found ‘indecent’ images on his phone before throwing the device at him only minutes after they landed.
Police rushed to the scene and stopped the fight before questioning the couple.
A police incident report obtained by WCSC read: “The suspect stated that she just wanted to get away from the victim and fly back home.”
Barbour told police that they had just arrived in South Carolina to enjoy their vacation when she saw ‘several indecent photos’ in her husband’s phone.
The husband reportedly denied being attacked by his wife but surveillance cameras caught the moment he was brutally kicked by Barbour.
The footage also showed the woman throwing his phone and trying to hit his face.
The devastated woman admitted to the assault and was taken into custody, the police report added.
She was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center but released the following day on $5,237 bond.
It is still not clear how she saw the images and what they were but the couple had returned to their home after the incident.
One internet user shared his thought on the matter, writing: “She was probably already a firecracker just waiting to be lit. something was bothering her for years maybe.”
Another said: Some are saying that she was right to attack him. What they don’t realize is they are supporting spousal abuse. They should know then that the blade of the sword has two sides.”
A third added: “As a woman, I can understand the rage she had. Others might have done worse.”
