A disgruntled wife complained that her marriage has begun falling apart after she farted in front of her husband at their home.

The woman in question revealed that she was confronted by her husband one day after she let a windy one out while the two were chilling in the kitchen.

According to the wife, her husband told her she should act more ladylike while saying he was disgusted and repulsed by her innocent act.

Fighting back, the 24-year-old woman said she “wanted to fart without judgement” while admitting that her response led to a “big argument” revolving around the fart.

“We just got in a big argument about it tonight because I farted in the kitchen on accident,” she explained in her Reddit post.

“I am extremely fed up with him treating me like what I’m doing is unnatural and always telling me I need to be more like a lady.”

The young woman went on to say that the pair has since the infamous fart in the kitchen been sleeping in separate rooms and that their marriage is now on the verge of collapse.

“Lately, he’s been getting really frustrated with me because he says I fart too much at home and it disgusts him. I tend to fart a few times a night, and he gets super grumpy, accusing me of doing it on purpose,” she added.

“I feel like I should be able to fart in my own home without judgement. I told him I was sick and tired of his attitude and acting like I’m some sort of freak for doing something that everyone does.

“We’re now currently in separate rooms not speaking because of the fight.”

After asking the internet for advice, plenty of viewers were quick to side with the wife and slam her husband for being “childish” and “immature.”

“There’s nothing wrong with farting once in a while, especially if you’re just at home with your husband. He sounds like a child that needs to grow up,” someone wrote.

“Does he think women poop glitter? He sounds very dumb and also ridiculous. Make your point by freaking out every time he farts/sneezes/burps so he sees how absurd he’s being,” another said.

A third shared their own experience saying: “I spent 9 years with someone who would only permit me to fart in the bathroom or while I was sleeping. He would look at me so disgusted, then shame me, if I let one slip. When I started dating after that, the first thing on my list of qualities to look for was someone I could fart in front of.”
