Elena Huelva lost her battle with a rare form of bone cancer after bidding farewell to her family and friends.
The 20-year-old, who had almost one million followers on Instagram, fought against Ewing sarcoma since her devastating diagnosis in 2016.
Before her death, she shared a heartbreaking update about her condition saying her health had worsened.
“My life has not been in vain,” she said in an emotional video.
Holding back her tears, the Spanish social media influencer explained that “things are not going well.”
“They found more disease in my windpipe, which is very dangerous, as you know, because that’s where we breathe,” she went on. “I don’t need to say much more. I want to make it clear that I’ve already won.”
Her heartbreaking video gained more than 970,000 likes and over 90,000 comments, including from Spanish celebrities such as singer Manuel Carrasco, actress Ana Obregon, and TV presenter Sara Carbonero.
Despite her condition, she was allowed to spend Christmas with her parents Emi and Manuel and older sister Emi, 26, at home.
Elena shared her final post on Sunday along with a photo of her holding hands with a loved one.
“Today I woke up not in the best way, in fact, nothing food, a big scare. These are very difficult days, they are becoming more and more complicated, but as you know I am stronger, and more complicated!
“I want you to know that I already won, a long time ago. We continue, always.”
Elena signed off with her catchphrase and title of her book: My desires win.
One Instagram follower said: “Rest in peace, Elena! You have been and are an inspiration. Thank you for everything and much encouragement to your loved ones at this time.”
Another wrote: “Rest in peace my love, you have been an example of struggle and improvement.”
