A woman who licks her cats and eats cat fur has spoken out and defended her addiction which earned her the title of a crazy cat lady.

43-year-old Lisa from Detroit, Michigan, appeared on TLC’s My Strange Addiction to speak out about her extreme love for her cats and their fur.

In her bizarre revelation, the young woman admitted to licking her cats and eating their fur because “grooming” them as a cat momma would is something that brings her satisfaction.

“I know everybody knows I’m a crazy f****** cat lady. I don’t have any children. I never wanted any children. These are my babies. If I was a momma cat I would clean them just like that,” Lisa said.

“This is not s*xual for me at all. Not at all. I don’t lick their butts. I don’t lick their genitals. I don’t even lick the bottom of their paws because, gross, that’s litter box.

“And I know they’re gross. We’re all gross. Everything is bad for you. If I want to groom my cat I’m going to groom my cat. I’m not going to stop licking the cats or eating the cat fur.”

Lisa went on to say that eating cat fur helps her relax while comparing it to cotton candy.

Experts previously warned that eating large amounts of hair can lead to health issues like indigestion, obstructions inside the digestive tracks, and even internal bleeding. These fears were also voiced by Lisa’s sister who said she was worried by how much hair her sibling might be consuming daily.

Lisa, however, dismissed health fears and suggested she’ll never stop eating her cats’ fur because she likes it and believes it’s actually good for her.

She also admitted that speaking out and going public with her addiction has helped her become more confident about what’s she doing.
