Witnesses have spoken out as the search for missing mother Nicola Bulley enters its third week.
According to reports, witnesses noticed a ‘red van’ in the area on the morning the mother-of-two vanished.
The 45-year-old from Lancashire, England, reportedly disappeared on January 27 after dropping her children off at school and walking their dog.
She reportedly parked her vehicle in St. Michael’s on Wyre before she and her dog Willow walked along the river.
At 8:43 am, another dog walker saw Nicola, who sent a work email before logging onto an online conference call. Before she vanished, she reportedly sent a text message to her friend to arrange a play date with their kids.
While she was on the conference call, another dog walker saw her at 9:10 am.
About 25 minutes later, her phone – which was still logged into the call – was found on a bench near the river.
Willow’s harness and lead were also discovered on the ground, and the dog was found running around in distressed manner.
Police are reportedly looking into 500 lines of inquiry, with officers asking for around 700 motorists who were in the area at the time of the mother-of-two’s disappearance.
A 55-year-old told The Times that a ‘tatty red van in Hall Lane outside a barn.’
“I didn’t think anything at the time, but when I saw Nicola had gone missing, I called 101 and spoke to an operator,” the witness said.
Another witness told The Sun that they noticed a red van at around 9:40 am on the morning Nicola vanished. They said that they have since called the police to ask if any dashcam footage has been found of the vehicle.
Police have urged the public “to remember that we are investigating the disappearance of Nicola, and the priority is Nicola and her family. We want to find her and provide answers to her family.”
