However, critics claimed that Ibrahim only married the grandmother for financial support but he quickly slammed the allegations.

“The love does not know any difference between age or countries. Iris chose me and I chose Iris,” he expressed. “I want to say for all the people who attack our love, it’s none of your business, focus on your lives, go to hell. That is all.”

Speaking to MailOnline, Ibrahim also said: “I don’t care where we live or how rich or poor she is, I just want to be with Iris. At the end of the day, which country she wants to make her home is her choice; it can be either Britain or Egypt.”

He went on: “People think I am with her for all the wrong reasons. I know Britain is a beautiful country and a lot of people want to go there but I’m not bothered.

“I’m prepared to live with her anywhere in the world.”

But only two years after they got married, the couple have decided to end their relationship.

In an interview with Closer, Iris said: “I adored everything about Mohammed. But it became hard work. We used to have a great s*x life but then, rather than making love, we ended up arguing all the time about anything and everything.

“I can’t be doing with that. I’m not a lovesick teenager. I’m 83.”

The grandmother has also revealed that she has found a new love – her cat.

“I got him just a few days after Mohammed moved out and he’s the perfect companion. He never complains, is very quiet and beautiful to look at – I adore him,” she shared.

“And he’s very happy here and doesn’t create a mess, I’m not missing Mohammed at all, the thing that annoyed me the most when he left was he took my tempura battered prawns that I’d planned for my dinner that night,” she added.
