The final messages of a Buffalo woman who froze to death inside her car during a blizzard have been revealed.
22-year-old Anndel Taylor was driving home from work when got trapped in her car due to a winter storm that battered many parts of the country and took the lives of at least 64 people.
Before her death, she filmed the thick snow and sent it to her family on Christmas eve. Her video also showed another vehicle stranded in the snow.
While the cause of death hasn’t been revealed, it is believed that she died from carbon monoxide poisoning as she left the engine on for warmth while she slept.
The final messages shared between Taylor and her loved ones during the night she got stuck in the car have been shared by her sister Tomeshia in a heartbreaking video.
The conversation between the 22-year-old and her family started with her explaining that she was ‘stuck in the f****** blizzard.’
Three hours later, Taylor said: “The car I’m driving, muffler damn near on the ground already, then snow up to the tires… I’m mad irritated.
“I’ve been in and out shoveling, just called the fire department and they’re sending a cop to me. I don’t know how long that’s gunna take.”
The 22-year-old then said: “It looks like I’m going to sleep here. I don’t know how long this gas will last. I’m livid bro my door damn near covered.”
Taylor explained that rescue teams tried to get to her location but they also got stranded. Her sister was in disbelief that authorities were not prepared in “a state known for it.”
“They don’t gaf (give a f**k) man. I’m talking to them now so I know how to go about the night… If the car stay running in the morning I’m going to walk, snow at my thighs,” Taylor added.
Her last message was a photo where she said that the snow had reached her stomach line.
