Ellen DeGeneres has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her co-star, DJ ‘tWitch’ after he was found dead in his motel bathroom.
According to reports, Stephen Boss was in a room at the Oak Tree Motel when he took his own life.
“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart,” Ellen said.
“I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia,” Ellen added.
Staff at the motel told Daily Mail that one of the workers found DJ’s lifeless body after he did not check out on time.
Workers also said that the 40-year-old went to the hotel on Monday but his body wasn’t discovered until Tuesday morning.
Staff said that Boss “shot himself in the head” but no body heard any gunshot, adding that the scene was ‘pretty bad.’
Manager Rakesh said: “He went into his room, and he never came out. At 11.15am on Tuesday the maid opened the door to check on the room.
“There was his stuff in there but no one there. She checked the bathroom, and there was blood everywhere.”
The manager continued: “She was very scared. This is the first time anything like that has happened here. We called 911, they told us to check his pulse but there was nothing.
“The paramedics and the police came, and they said he was dead. Maybe he did it during the day on Monday.
“It’s a busy, loud road outside here, it’s possible nobody heard it because of that.”
The DJ and his wife Allison Holker just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary when he decided to end his life.
They even shared a video of them online dancing together.
According to reports, he left home on Monday and when he did not come back home by Tuesday, his wife rushed to a local police station and filed a report.
They share three children together – Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3.
Boss worked on Ellen’s show from 2014 until it ended this year. He was also made an executive producer two years ago.
