A disabled husband and his wife shared how they get intimate after cruel trolls told the woman that her partner can’t satisfy her.
Shane Burcaw, who has been using a wheelchair since he was a child, met Hannah online after she contacted him.
Before they met, Shane’s parents were his primary caregivers but the sole responsibility became Hannah’s when their relationship started getting serious.
The happy couple document their relationship on their YouTube channel, educating people about interabled relationships.
In their video titled ‘Intimacy & Disability – How We Make It Work,’ Hannah described the idea that disabled people cannot be s*xual as a ‘damaging stereotype.’
While she admitted that she was scared of unintentionally hurting her husband, she explained: “We definitely talked about it, I would ask before I moved any part of you, you know?”
Shane added: “Yeah, I remember you being like. ‘I don’t want to break you.’”
Hannah then shared the moment she realized that her husband is “a lot less fragile than he looks.”
“And obviously our intimacy doesn’t always look like the cookie cutter image of intimacy,” she went on,” “but we find ways that work for us.”
The couple also shared a story when Hannah accidentally ‘hurt’ him, saying it happened ‘many years ago’ when they first started dating.
They were getting intimacy when Hannah’s knee ‘smushed’ her husband’s arm in, making Shane scream as he thought he was left with a broken elbow.
“It was severely hurt for three days. It didn’t break, I think I pulled a muscle or sprained a tendon,” he recalled.
