Tiffany Urban, 38, was very concerned when her mother’s boyfriend stayed at their apartment in Oregon.

After witnessing how Simon Lopez, 56, attacked her mother, she knew she had to act smart and fast to protect her.

That’s when Urban called 911 and said to dispatcher Tim Teneyck that she wanted to order a large pizza.

Teneyck was initially shocked by the request for a meal and told the caller that she had dialed the wrong number.

But when Urban said that he was not understanding, the dispatcher realized the gravity of the situation.

Dispatcher: This is the wrong number to call for a pizza.

Caller: No, no, no. You’re not understanding.

After Urban told Teneyck that he was not understanding the situation, the dispatcher immediately realized the danger she was in and asked if the man was still there.

Dispatcher: I’m getting you now. Is the guy still there?

Caller: Yep, I need a large pizza.

Dispatcher: All right. How about medical, do you need medical?

Caller: No. With pepperoni.

The dispatcher told ABC 13 that he had never been trained for situations like that. “You see it on Facebook, but it’s not something that anybody has ever been trained for. Other dispatchers that I’ve talked to would not have picked up on this. They’ve told me they wouldn’t have picked up on this.”

Teneyck requested that officers rushing to the scene turn off their sirens before arriving at the property to avoid any suspicion.

Oregon Chief of Police Michael Navarre praised his response to the call and said: “Excellent dispatch work on the part of our dispatcher. Some dispatchers may have hung up. He handled the call beautifully and it had a happy ending.”
