JUST IN: Viewers Think Chris Rock, 58, Has Gone ‘Too Far’ With His Will Smith And Jada Jokes In His New Comedy Special

After Chris Rock’s comedy special on Netflix was released, some fans think that he has gone ‘too far’ with some of his Will Smith and Jada jokes.

The streaming giant aired the comedian’s newest stand-up ‘Selective Outrage’ over the weekend.

At the beginning of the special, the 58-year-old says: “Imma try to do a show tonight without offending nobody. I’m gonna try my best. You know why? Because you never know who might get triggered. That’s right, you say the wrong thing… mother******s get scared.”

Rock added: “Gotta watch out. You know what people say: Words hurt.”

But some viewers believe that the performer crossed the line when he made jokes about Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will and Rock made headlines last year after the actor slapped the comedian during the 2022 Academy Awards.

Rock, who was asked to present an award, joked about Jada’s shaved head, saying: “Jada, I love ya! G.I. Jane 2 – can’t wait to see it.”

Will has been banned from attending any Oscar-related events for ten years. He also apologized to the comedian and said: “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong.”

But Rock can’t just forget what happened as both Will and his wife became the subjects of gags toward the end of his comedy special.

“Y’all know what happened to me,” he told the crowd.

“I got smacked at the f***ing Oscars by this motherf****r. A lot of people are like, did it hurt? It still hurts! I got ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ears.”

He then said that “everybody knows what the f*** happened” and that he “had nothing to do with that.”

“For people that don’t know, well everybody knows, but Will Smith’s wife was f***ing her son’s friend. Okay? I normally would not talk about this s**t, but, for some reason, they put it on the internet,” he went on, referencing the 2020 episode of Red Table Talk when Will and Jada talked about her affair with August Alsina.

“I have no idea why two talented people would do something like that,” Rock continued. “We’ve all been cheated on, everyone in here has been cheated on. None of us have ever been interviewed by the person who cheated on us on television. None of us are like, hey, I was s***ing somebody else’s d***. How did that make you feel?”

Rock then told the audience: “She hurt him way more than he hurt me. Everybody in the world was calling him a b***h, and I tried to call him up and he didn’t pick up the phone to me. Everybody was calling him a b***h, everybody, everybody, and he slaps me? That is some b***h a** s**t.”

While many viewers laughed at his jokes, others said they were ‘disgusting’ and that the comedian went ‘too far.’

One person tweeted: “Chris Rock went a bit too far. This is venting, not joking.”

Another said: “What’s happening to comedy!!!! [It’s] becoming increasingly apparent that it’s no longer funny, disgusting show by Chris Rock.”

A third added: “I’m not even a Will and Jada fan but Chris Rock’s performance was disgusting!”
