Britney Spears has opened up about her struggles after the tragic news of her miscarriage.
The popstar, 40, took to Instagram and gave her fans an update on Monday.
She shared a S*x an the City meme featuring Carrie Bradshaw with heavy makeup, saying: “I am not in the mood to be with a bunch of people.”
Relating to the meme, the singer captioned her post: “Unfortunately my mood these days … I honestly hope it doesn’t turn into years.”
Britney, who announced last month that she and Sam Asghari were expecting their first child together, shared the tragic news on Instagram on Saturday.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” they wrote wrote.
Her message continued: “This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news.”
The pair said they would try again to have another child.
“Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”
She captioned the post: “We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support.”
Sam also commented on Britney’s post, writing: “We will have a miracle soon,” adding a red heart emoji.
The singer has been updating her fans about her pregnancy journey these past few weeks. In a recent post, she said: “Being pregnant my hormones are kinda stupid… but it’s weird I want to jump out of the car and run naked like Will Ferrell in “Old School”…
“yep pregnant lady running through don’t mind me and I’m hot as f**k here… I thought pizza looked great but it tasted like salami!!! I hated it, but the looks of it can be deceiving… I will say it tasted like sh*t… goodnight… it’s pickle time!!!”
Britney has two children from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline, sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15.
