A 15-year-old who had been in an allegedly stolen car when he and another teen crashed into parked vehicles was expecting a baby.
The incident happened on Bungary Road, in Norah Head on the NSW Central Coast on Sunday morning.
Bryce Fahey died instantly while his mate was rushed to a hospital in serious condition.
According to reports, Fahey and his girlfriend were expecting a baby.
His grieving father, Geof Fahey, shared photos of the teen and wrote: “When you came along son my heart melted, as the years went by we had some awesome, amazing memories, fun trips and great holidays.
“Today would be the hardest day of my life. Getting that phone call, the dreaded call, to say your son has been in a car accident and it’s not good.”
Mr. Fahey continued: “I went down and spent what time I had left with you my boy, letting you know I’m here. Go look for nan and pop.
“The hardest day of my life, you must know. That one choice to go with your mate ended yours. Love you buddy, don’t ever forget it.
“Waiting here is going to be a long wait but I’ll wait until we meet again, shine bright, light it up like you always do.”
Bryce’s heartbroken family have set up a GoFundMe page to help his parents and the mother of his baby.
“No amount of money will lessen the heartbreak or pain they have to go through,” the page read. “But will help Bryce’s beautiful family get through this really tough time.”
People paid heartfelt tributes to the teen, with one friend saying she was ‘so grateful’ for everything Bryce did for everyone.
One also wrote: “I have no words except what a great kid. He will be missed by anyone who knew him.”
