Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a young and loving hiker who was reported missing from California.
The heartbreaking search for the missing individual came to an end as authorities confirmed the tragic ending for the case that left his family and friends in a state of absolute grief.
The search for the 22-year-old missing young man came to an abrupt and tragic end after his remains were located in the mountain region of Santa Monica.
Sources from local media outlets identified the location as California’s Wilderness Park. And the news spread like wildfire around town, where many began to gather and see if those heartbreaking reports were actually true or not.
Zachary Zernik was found in the mountainous region of the Boney Mountain Side Wilderness Area during the early hours of Thursday morning.
But as more investigations into the tragedy occur, it’s being highlighted that his death was more accidental than anything else. He was reportedly witnessed around five days back by his loved ones and after that, mysteriously disappeared.
As mentioned in a new release by the area’s Sheriff’s Department, there is yet to be any evidence dictating some sort of foul play. At the same time, the authorities are yet to find any crime that may have been linked to the tragedy. And that has left his loved ones with so many unanswered questions.
For now, no cause of death has been outlined. It would reportedly be determined after an autopsy on his remains is carried out soon by the medical examiner, as confirmed by officials recently.
Sources revealed how the police had reportedly retrieved his vehicle from the area where his remains were found, on Wednesday. This is the reason why they opted to amp up their search in that particular location, only to find him dead, two days later.
