JUST IN: WWE Legend Billy Graham DIED After Being Rushed To Hospital With Infection In His Ears That Spread To Ear Bones And Skull


WWE legend Billy Graham has died at the age of 79 after he was rushed to a hospital with an infection in his ears that spread to his skull.

The heartbroken family of the pro wrestling legend revealed that he passed away on May 17 after his life support was turned off.

In an emotional tribute to Graham, WWE wrote on their website: “WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham has passed away.”

The post continued: “A former WWE Champion, Graham’s flashy fashion style, over-the-top interviews, and bodybuilder physique created the archetype for a generation of Superstars that followed in his footsteps.”

A GoFundMe page set up for the wrestler revealed that he was rushed to hospital earlier this year with an infection in his ears that spread to his ear bones and skull.

For many weeks, he stayed in the ICU and fought numerous health problems, including hearing loss, congestive heart failure, acute kidney failure, and diabetes.

Before his death, his wife Valerie took to Facebook and asked everyone to pray for her husband.

“The doctors wanted to remove him from life support tonight, I refused. He’s a fighter and his will is strong even if his body isn’t. God is our hope,” she wrote.

WWE manager Paul Heyman paid tribute to the wrestler, writing: “Before Billy Graham, performers in WWWF / WWF/ WWE were known as professional wrestlers. After Billy Graham left his mark, Vincent Kennedy McMahon decided everyone would be a WWE Superstar.

“A most heartfelt RIP to the man of the hour, the man with the power, too sweet to be sour!”

Veteran Flair also wrote: “The Superstar Billy Graham Just Left Us. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INFLUENCE On My Career!”

Sean Waltman posted a throwback photo of Graham on Twitter and said: “This is the version of Superstar Billy Graham I got to see in FL. He would come out to Kung Fu Fighting & I loved it! RIP to the most copied man ever in Pro Wrestling.”
