A jealous woman is being investigated after allegedly pushing her boyfriend to his death from a hotel balcony.
31-year-old Mary Meyers Kayley and 21-year-old Reece Pegram were staying at a five-star hotel in Side, Turkey when they had a massive fight after the woman found out her boyfriend had been cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend.
Enraged by her partner’s actions, Kayley allegedly pushed the young man from the balcony of their hotel room from which Pegram plunged 100 feet onto the concrete surface below.
According to the hotel staff, the couple had been drinking a lot before having a massive fight in their hotel room.
As sources revealed, the 31-year-old was so drunk she had to be assisted in getting back to her room, whereas traces of cocaine were found in her boyfriend’s body after his death.
While the woman initially denied murdering her partner, she later admitted they had an argument because she found out he had cheated on her.
She claimed, however, that she went to the bathroom after their confrontation and that her boyfriend was already gone by the time she was ready for sleep. She also insisted that her boyfriend was suicidal because “he had psychological problems.”
“I was in the shower at this time, I accidentally cut only my right thumb when I got into the shower,” Kayley said as she attempted to explain the bloodstains the police had found in the hotel room after arriving at the scene.
“When I got out of the shower, I saw the person laughing evilly to himself on the balcony and said he wanted to commit suicide, I blocked him. Meanwhile, the blood on my right thumb spattered the floor and walls of the room.”
Kayley has since been charged with murder, whereas the prosecutors in Turkey are seeking a life sentence.
