36-year-old Hwang So-hee, also known as DJ Soda, is a South Korean DJ who claims to have been “harassed” and “humiliated” by American Airlines flight attendants after boarding her flight from NY to Los Angeles at JFK Airport.

According to Soda, the staff ordered her to leave the plane immediately after spotting the words ‘f*ck you’ printed all over her branded RipNDip sweatpants.

The staff allegedly told her the pants were “offensive” before demanding she removes them at the airport gate, in front of other people, if she wished to re-board the plane.

While Soda allegedly offered to change her pants in the bathroom, she insists the staff told her to do it at the gate while making “sarcastic comments” about her.

“I got kicked off from @AmericanAir flight and they harassed me to take off my sponsored @RIPNDIP ‘F**K YOU’ sweatpants in front of people to board again,” the DJ wrote in her Twitter rant after her unpleasant experience with the airline.

“Yesterday coming back from JFK to LAX with American Airlines, I was harassed and humiliated. I was forced out of the plane and was harassed to take off my pants in front of the flight crews at the gate.

Eventually, Soda took off her pants and turned them inside out.

As she insists, she never encountered any problems because of her pants before. She also claims she was left “mortified” after being “treated unfairly.”

“From now on, I will be boycotting @AmericanAir and hope this NEVER happens to anyone ever again,” she concluded.

Following a request for a statement, American Airlines responded to DailyMail.com saying:

“American Airlines policies prohibit offensive clothing. During the boarding process for American Airlines Flight 306 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), our team members informed Ms. So-hee of our policies and provided her the opportunity to change out of clothing displaying explicit language.

“The customer complied with requests and was allowed to continue travel, as planned, to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).”

After Soda’s rant went viral, some viewers pointed out that airlines indeed have policies that prevent passengers from wearing offensive clothing.

Many, however, also took a jab at American Airlines as they insisted the staff should have let the DJ change in the bathroom rather than at the gate.
