Sarah Moulds was a Somerby School primary teacher who has come under fire after being condemned by RSPCA animal welfare charity and animal rights activists from around the world.

In a shocking clip that came to light last month, the British teacher and mom-of-two was seen kicking her horse and slapping the animal in the head repeatedly.

The incident took place after the traditional Cottesmore Hunt in Rutland, England.

After her actions, Moulds was condemned both on a local as well as global level with activists demanding she be prosecuted over animal abuse caught on camera.

“She’s had to go away after receiving death threats and loads of vile abuse. It’s awful and has got very much out of hand. She fears for her life,” a neighbor of the horse rider revealed.

“I don’t know what happened and in what context but what is now happening to Sarah is horrible. She’s terrified of being in her own home in case someone targets her or her kids there.”

Now, it has also been revealed that Moulds was sacked from her job as a primary school teacher at Somerby School.

“I can confirm that Sarah Moulds’ employment with the Trust has been terminated. As a Trust we are committed to ensuring the best standard of education for all of our young people and we look forward to continuing this throughout the 2021/22 academic year and beyond,” Paul Maddox, the COO of Mowbray Education Trust, confirmed.

Meanwhile, RSPCA called Moulds’ actions “really upsetting” and confirmed that an investigation has since been launched.

Condemning the mother-of-two was also Anne Brummer of Save Me Trust who said: “Absolutely disgusting, she should be prosecuted and not allowed near a horse again. No one around her seems socked, what is wrong with these people.”

The woman’s family, however, appears to have taken her side, whereas uncle David Kirkham insists that “Moulds is a very upright person who absolutely loves her horses.”

“I’ve seen the video but we don’t know what the horse had been doing and if it was out of control. But we know it ran out onto the road and she told it off,” he said.

“She was reprimanding the horse. There was no malice intended. She is very well thought of and respected.”
