The devastated wife of NFL star Shaquil Barrett has spoken out after their 2-year-old daughter passed away.
Jordanna Barrett and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker lost their daughter Arrayah last weekend after she drowned in their family pool.
Police from the Tampa Police Department rushed to the property around 9 am after receiving a report that a toddler had fallen into a pool.
Arrayah was rushed to a hospital where medics did their best to save her but she died after the horrifying ordeal.
In a heartbreaking statement shared on behalf of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a spokesperson said that the news of the young girl’s death was “heartbreaking for all members of the Buccaneers family.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time.
“While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
Shaquil’s grieving wife has spoken out after the tragic death of their daughter.
In a post on Instagram, the mother said: “Thank you all for all the messages, flowers, thoughts and prayers. Our world will never be the same. Arrayah was the apple of my eye, and my heart will forever be with hers. I love you so much my baby. I am so so sorry.
“Please watch over your siblings and momma and dada,” she continued. “We love you forever and ever and always. I can’t wait to see that precious smile again, and just hug you so close. I would do absolutely anything.”
She concluded: “There is no Barrett 6 without you, and we will forever hold your place down here, until we all meet again in heaven. I love you forever and always.”
