Amber Heard’s makeup artist has testified in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial via video deposition.
Melanie Inglessis, the French makeup artist who allegedly helped the actress cover her bruises with makeup after one of her fights with Depp, has spoken out and echoed Heard’s claims.
As the makeup artist insisted, she was called by Heard on December 16, 2015, after the couple had a massive fight at one of their homes.
“She looked like somebody headbutted her. She had discoloration around her eyes and nose, and a split lip,” Inglessis said as she blasted photos showing Heard’s bruises saying they don’t accurately portray the extent of her injuries.
“We did makeup, a little heavier than normal. We hid the bruises. Peach to cancel the blue,” she added as she claimed she was able to hide the actress’s injuries in time for Heard to appear flawless on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
Like other witnesses – including close friends of the former couple – that recently took the stand, Inglessis, too, admitted she never saw Depp strike Heard.
She went on to recall the actor as a kind and “friendly” man before branding his friend Marilyn Manson as “strange” and “awkward.”
Concluding her testimony, Inglessis said emotions were flying high when the couple was preparing for a divorce.
At one point, the makeup artist allegedly held on to Heard’s phone after the actress allegedly gave it to her so that Depp couldn’t call her and attempt to talk her out of getting a divorce.
“I held on to it for her because she didn’t want him to call her… and she was afraid she would cave and go back to him,” Inglessis testified.
“We were all there to kind of help, and go through it [together].”
