A swimmer that was just days away from marrying the woman of his dreams has passed away after a horrifying shark attack in Australia.
According to local media reports, the victim was identified as 35-year-old Simon Nellist who worked as a diving instructor. But despite his love for the ocean, no one knew that he would end up being killed during his thrilling adventures.
The swimmer was recently attacked by a giant 4.5-meter great white shark off the coast of Little Bay Beach. He was known to be an expat who hailed from Britain and had recently been training for an ocean swim.
Despite his years of experience in the sea, he tragically passed away after being mauled to death in the terrifying incident which is being called out as the most fatal shark attack in nearly 60 years.
Now, sources have gone on to reveal the final tragic post that he penned through his social media account on Facebook. In that, he revealed his protest against both shark nets and drumlines, just a few months before he was mauled by the massive beast.
His close buddies are paying tribute to a loving and kindhearted man who had taken out extra time over the weekend so he could train for an ocean swim in honor of a charity event that was supposed to be held over this weekend in Sydney. Now, however, it has been canceled.
Local media outlets revealed how the NSW has recently installed a total of six drumlines located between Malabar and Little Bay as part of an initiative to avoid shark attacks but Simon strongly felt against the decision.
Simon is said to have fallen in love with the land of the Australians and for that reason, he used to travel back and forth from the UK, right after serving in the Royal Air Force.
