Tony Bennett’s final moments before his death have been revealed.

The legendary American singer and 20-time Grammy winner died on Friday just two weeks before his 97th birthday.

According to the reports, the music icon died at his home in New York City. No cause of death was provided, but it is known that the singer had been suffering from Alzheimer’s for the last seven years.

Following the tragic news, the last photo of the legendary crooner emerged and began making rounds on the internet.

In the picture and footage obtained by DailyMail.com, the ‘I Left My Heart in San Francisco’ hitmaker could be seen touring around Manhattan’s tourist spot in a wheelchair while sporting a striped polo shirt and blue sweatpants.

The person who took what is believed to be the last photo of the musician also explained that Bennett enjoyed anonymity and that he was not recognized by any other tourists in Manhattan’s iconic park.

After Bennett’s passing at the age of 96, his family also revealed that the Grammy winner was “singing at his piano” in the days leading to his death.

Meanwhile, a makeup artist who lives close to the singer revealed that Bennett was not himself when she spotted him being wheeled outside his home in recent weeks.

“He was smiling but you knew he was not all there,” she said.

The saddening revelations come shortly after Bennett’s family confirmed his passing in a Twitter statement.

“Tony left us today but he was still singing the other day at his piano and his last song was Because of You, his first number one hit. Tony, because of you we have your songs in our heart forever,” they wrote.
