16-year-old Kyle Limper was a selfless, active, and seemingly fit and healthy teenager from Pennsylvania who died from cancer just hours after being diagnosed with the unforgiving disease.

According to his devastated parents, Kyle was taken to the hospital after suffering back pain following a basketball match.

“They told me in a couple of days, if he doesn’t get better, to bring him back. Well, in a couple of days he couldn’t even stand up. He couldn’t even get out of bed and I had to help him up and stand him up, then he fell right back down on the bed,” the boy’s dad, Ken, explained in an interview with FOX 29.

After the situation had worsened, Kyle was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where doctors discovered that the teen was not only suffering from leukemia but was already in the final stage of the disease.

At the time of the heartbreaking diagnosis, Kyle’s organs were already shutting down and on the verge of collapse. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old died just less than a day after the diagnosis.

“It was just a nightmare. It was just like every time we came back into the room, it was just getting worse and getting worse,” Ken added.

In a tribute to his son, the grieving dad added: “Before April 13th he was a completely healthy and happy young man with no sign of illness. It just came and took him on the same day.

“The mark Kyle left on all our hearts is incomparable to anything in this world. He did more in his short 16 years and touched more lives with his selflessness, generosity, friendship, and love than most would in a lifetime.”

Kyle was known as a kind, selfless, and happy young man who played basketball and football. He also did some running and wrestling and was described as a very active and fit young man.

“He wanted to stop all the bad evil in this world by putting all the criminals behind bars so people could live their best lives safely,” his parents said as they explained that Kyle wanted to study criminal law and work with the FBI or CSI in the future.

“That was Kyle always thinking about everyone else. He loved to embrace the best of what life had to offer him. Now with heavy hearts, we must live our best life for Kyle.”

The family has since also launched a GoFundMe page and asked for help in raising funds to cover Kyle’s medical and funeral costs.
