Haunting reports coming in from Mariupol reveal how so many Ukrainians taking shelter are losing their teeth and their hair as children go gray.
The worrying statistics shed light on the true reality of the devastating war by Russians on innocent Ukrainian civilians who have done absolutely nothing to pay the price of Russia’s brutal hostility.
One woman named Vikortia spoke to a local media outlet about how she tries to stay in contact with her brother who is a guardsman that has been trapped in the Azovstal steel plant.
The 42-year-old sheds light on how there are hundreds of people trapped inside, and they don’t know if they’ll be allowed to live another day or not as the city comes under brutal attack on a daily basis.
“The stress that these innocent people must go through is beyond comprehensible. You have to actually be there to see what is going on. Their homes have been destroyed and this is their last resort. Life is unpredictable and making it through each day has become a true challenge for all these people”- Viktoria continued.
While some of the occupants are said to be staff members working in the plant, others are those who have no place to go as their residences were razed down to the grounds in the line of war.
While Viktoria refused to reveal her brother’s identity due to security reasons, she says that the scenes he describes inside the shelter are so heartwrenching. It’s almost as if she’s got no clue if there will ever come a point of normalcy where these innocent civilians will be allowed to return back to their lives.
