One person has been killed and many injured after a gunman opened fire at a car show in Arkansas.
According to local media reports, the horrifying and tragic incident took place at about 7:25 pm on Saturday at the Delta N.E.Y.O Hood-nic Foundation auto show.
The exact site of the shooting incident was identified as the town of Dumas, which is about 85 miles southeast of the state’s capital of Little Rock.
Troopers belonging to the state were quick to jump in and handle the situation as panic and chaos filled the air after they reportedly received news about the shooting outside the local business, where the show was taking place.
As many as 20 people were seriously wounded, confirmed authorities, while one death has been confirmed.
Investigations into the incident have begun as reported by KARK this morning.
Duman is said to be a town comprising of at least 4000 individuals.
Local emergency and paramedic services claim that the shooting began at the parking lot which is located on the US-165 of a supermarket that is called Mad Butcher in the town.
While one person is believed to be in custody at the moment, officers have revealed to reporters how they are now in search of the possibility of several shooters.
One spokesperson for the state police mentioned how they were still not able to confirm the possibility of more than one suspect being involved in the shooting tragedy.
There were a number of people posting on Facebook how so many of the victims included young children who received bullets, including a baby too.
One of the victims had to be airlifted from the site to a local hospital, while others were rushed to nearby hospitals in the area.
