Carson Senfield, a University of Tampa student, just celebrated his 19th birthday when he was shot dead at 1am after entering a stranger’s car.

He died after being shot in the upper body but the unidentified shooter hasn’t been arrested as the State’s Attorney is yet to decide whether the driver was justified in shooting the teen under Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground Law.’

Carson was pronounced dead at the scene and the motorist is cooperating with Florida police.

According to reports, the teen had just got out of an Uber that drove him near his family home on West Arch Street when he called for another vehicle.

Carson’s grieving father Darren Senfield said to WGRZ: “To us, the details will play themselves out. We don’t have our son, we’re mourning, we’re heartbroken, we’re devastated.

“It was a senseless tragedy that we’re still trying to figure out, but at this point, it doesn’t really matter, we don’t have our Carson with us. We spoke with him two days before he was celebrating his birthday with friends on Friday evening.”
