25-year-old Sule Ambrose was an aspiring university student from Nigeria who was studying to become a priest at Nekede’s Clariantian University.

On Friday, the young man donned a white toga and joined his mates in the reenactment of Jesus’s crucifixion as his most valued disciple Simon Peter.

During the Good Friday performance, Ambrose suddenly collapsed to the ground and started bleeding, whereas viewers initially believed it was all just part of the show.

“Initially when it happened we thought it was a joke, and that it was part of the drama,” onlooker Micheal Eluwa said in an interview with Vanguard.

“It was when he could not get up that was when we knew it was a serious matter and he was rushed to a school hospital.

“Later, when the case became worse, he was taken to a nearly Federal Medical Center. It was from there we heard he could not survive it.”

Following the 25-year-old’s sudden passing, the seminary he was attending confirmed that the official cause of death is still unknown.

It is also unclear what exactly the student’s role in the reenactment was.

The news comes shortly after Rev. Patrick Pullicino, a neurologist turned priest, issued a scientific paper theorizing that Jesus Christ essentially died from bleeding caused by a dislocated shoulder.

While most scholars agree that Jesus suffered a dislocated shoulder while carrying the cross, Pullicino suggests that he might have died from complexities – including internal bleeding – stemming from the injury.
