Emotional tributes are now making their way on social media after a British soldier was shot and killed by Russian forces in Ukraine.
According to local media reports, Jordan Gatley had left his country’s army in the month March of this year. And now is being reported as killed by Russian armed forces during a fierce battle that erupted on Friday.
His father named Dean Gatley who hails from Cheshire mentioned in detail how his son had traveled to Ukraine after Vladimir Putin had made an announcement to enter the country and begin a war.
The news did not sit down too well with Jordan and he felt the need to step in and fight alongside the Ukrainians as he felt they needed assistance in defending their land. But little did he know that in the end, he would end up being killed in the horrifying incident.
The slain soldier’s father is now putting out the most heartbreaking tributes in honor of his son whom he calls a true hero that sacrificed his own life for the sake of others.
Jordan is now the second British soldier who was killed in the brutal Russian war against Ukraine. The first was a volunteer by the name of Scott Sibley who died while fighting alongside the Russians in the month of April.

The father put up images of his son as a child as well as in a military uniform and the entire ordeal brought so many viewers on the verge of tears.
