A mother of three has been charged with the murder of her own son whom she reported as missing.
According to reports from local media outlets, the mother was identified as 22-year-old Leilani Simon who was immediately arrested after her son’s remains were recently recovered at a garbage dump.
She was the one who made a complaint to the authorities about how her son suddenly went missing, despite him being just 20 months old. This horrifying incident was stated to have taken place in Savannah in Georgia, last month.
On the other hand, officers from the Chatham County Police Department revealed that her arrest arose on Monday and they were just so deeply saddened by what was going on as no one expected this to occur by miles.
Moreover, the toddler was presumed dead after the mother stated he went missing somehow in October but little did anyone know that she was the one behind his murder and horrifying death.
The mother went about sharing her residence with one of her three-year-old sons and her own mom and her boyfriend. The suspect’s mom is now in the custody of her two remaining children, local media outlets mentioned.
The mother has been charged with malicious murder for trying to conceal the death of another young individual and in this case, it was her own son. She even pleaded guilty to making false reports to law enforcement authorities and is found guilty of his disappearance and also the child’s sudden death. His name was Quinton Simon.
The cops mentioned how the mother had phoned the kids’ babysitter that her services would not be required on that particular day. And that’s the day she planned the murder of her little son.
