A well-renowned player from the world of soccer has recently passed away in a horror car crash.

According to local media outlets, 27-year-old Ahmet Calik who hails from Turkey died in the devastating incident after he reportedly lost control of his own vehicle on the motorway.

As a result, his car overturned in the most brutal manner and landed inside a giant ditch.

The Turkish soccer player was reportedly on his way to arrange his wedding which was scheduled to take place soon. But little did he know that he wouldn’t be alive to witness the happiest day of his life.

Local media outlets in Turkey revealed more sad details from the incident, including how the renowned player had taken one day off from his busy training schedule so he could prepare for his wedding day.

The horrifying accident took place on the Turkish motorway in the city of Ankara. The exact time of the incident was believed to be during the early morning hours of Tuesday.

Calik was reportedly driving alone with no other passengers inside and that’s when the vehicle overturned.

The sportsman was declared dead at the site of the accident.
