Several homeless people have reportedly been shot dead by one active shooter recently in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
According to authorities, the shootings are believed to have taken place in a city called Langley, right after the break of dawn at about 6 am and then continued throughout the day.
The incidents reported by the cops claim to have arisen in a number of different locations where one active gunman is believed to have been behind all of the acts.
“They took place at several different locations in the city of Langley. One of them is the Langley township and it’s just sad to see such incident arising in today’s time”- the cops confirmed.
The cops managed to take the alleged shooter into their custody. He was described as having white and black colored hair. Moreover, he was seen donning brown-toned Carhart overalls that featured a blue and green-toned camouflage printed shirt.
“It’s clear that his main target were all homeless people in the city and his goal was to cover all the areas that housed them”- one officer was seen mentioning.
Meanwhile, local media outlets revealed how the cops had even issued a warning that comprised an emergency alert that hinted about the possible attacks in the city.point 406 |
Therefore, all citizens in the area were requested to be alert and after the incident occurred, they were warned to stay indoors as the authorities managed to investigate and capture the alleged gunman.point 170 | 1
For now, investigations into the heartbreaking tragedy are taking place where one Canadian Mounted police officer mentioned that several people were killed. However, he failed to specify the exact number.
“All we know so far is that all the victims involved in the tragedy were homeless and we have evidence that shows how it was a massive planned attack”- the CBC was seen mentioning.
