Tragic reports coming in from Seattle, Washington have confirmed the death of a police officer who was responding to shooting complaints outside Starbucks recently.
According to sources, the officer was identified as 41-year-old Dan Rocha who was a father of two. He was killed in the line of duty during the tragic incident that took place during the afternoon hours of Friday.
The exact location of the tragic shooting was identified to be near the Washington State Everett Community College.
Local media outlets revealed how the officer was called in after calls were made regarding the firing of gunshots in that area. It was about 2:15 pm in the afternoon, revealed sources, where a Starbucks was also present near the college.
Moreover, horrifying details spoke about how one officer was seen lying on the ground in uniform, moments after the tragedy had taken place. It was also revealed how the suspect managed to get away in a swift manner by speeding away and running over the victim’s body.
Later, sources reported how the suspected shooter’s vehicle was also involved in a car crash that occurred moments after the shooting incident. And that was a clear indication regarding the outrageous attempts made by the suspect to flee from the police.
A van filled with young children had been pushed to its side, while another car had also been damaged along the way.
Witnesses present at the scene spoke about how the officer was killed on the spot, after receiving gunshots to his head that was fired by the shooter.
While the suspect is yet to be named, he was reportedly caught by the cops after a two-mile-long police chase. The white male suspect was captured on camera footage while being escorted away by law enforcement authorities.
