An elderly pensioner in Ukraine has been applauded for his intense bravery and heroism after shooting down a modern Russian jet worth $85 million.
According to local media reports, the pensioner was identified as Valeriy Fedorovych who allegedly shot down the Russian Su-34 jet that was flying over the city of Chernihiv recently.
The fact that he made use of nothing but his own judgments and skill alongside a single rifle have really baffled many. After all, the jet is one of the best and most advanced design models of its kind.
Sources revealed how the shooter was then brave enough to collect the debris from the exploded jet and store it inside his garage.
Now, more reports are speaking out about how he’s being hailed as an absolute hero of the nation and has even been given a medal by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
Reports went into detail about how witnesses saw the Russian jet scrambling and spiraling before coming crashing toward the ground.
Fedorovych is seen walking with his rifle in one of the viral clips, where the weapon is seen swinging over his shoulder.
As he walks through the city, you get a chance to witness glimpses of the city which has mostly been torn apart thanks to intense episodes of bombardment from Russian forces.
This story of an elderly pensioner is definitely one of so many that show how many Ukrainians are not willing to give up anytime soon because this is their land and they’re not ready to hand it over to Putin’s brutal forces without putting up a major fight.
