Russia has once again threatened the West with nuclear war as Kremlin mouthpieces suggested that a defeat in Ukraine is not an option.
The threats were made on Russian state TV network RT where propagandists discussed possible outcomes of the war in Ukraine.
As host Margarita Simonyan, who once studied in the States, said, Russia would rather have a nuclear conflict than accept defeat.
“They all believe that we will lose and the west will win. They don’t understand that it’s impossible. It’s simply impossible, it will never happen,” she insisted.
“Either we win, or this will end badly for all of humanity, there is no other way.”
The warmonger then went on to suggest that the effects of the conflict between Russia and the West will last forever and that people should “get used to this new life.”
Simonyan also insisted that in the “brave new world” Russia will face isolation before telling the viewers to be happy that Russian children will no longer study in western schools.
“No matter what happens or however we behave, our confrontation with them is for the rest of our lives,” she continued.
The threats come shortly after Russia successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile known as RS-28 Sarmat or Satan 2.
The 116-foot-long ‘monster’ ballistic missile has a range of 22,000 miles, meaning it can reach any target on the planet. The missile can also be equipped with up to 15 nuclear warheads at the same time.
In a recent turn of developments, the Russian government also unveiled a laser-based weapon that can allegedly blind satellites in the range of 930 miles and destroy drones within three miles.
“It is already being mass-supplied to the (missile) troops, and it can blind all satellite reconnaissance systems of a likely enemy in orbits of up to 1,500 km, disabling them during flight due to the use of laser radiation,” Yury Borisov, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, said.
“But that, let’s say, is of today, or even in some ways of yesterday: our physicists have now created, and practically mass-produced, laser systems which are more powerful by an order of magnitude that can inflict thermal destruction on various apparatus.”
Borisov also implied that the new-generation laser systems could be used to target not only satellites but other monitoring systems used by the West to keep an eye on Russia’s intercontinental ballistic missiles.
